The Austrian startup company Wappwolf is invited to launch its platform at the DEMO Conference Fall 2010 (13-15 Sep) in Silicon Valley. The DEMO Conference has been the leading launchpad for emerging technologies for the last 20 years.

Each company has six minutes on stage to convince world-wide press, decision-making investors and market-defining visionaries of having the product most likely to have a significant impact on the marketplace and market trends in the years to come.
Past participants like Adobe Systems with its Acrobat, Netscape with its Navigator, Sun Microsystems with its JAVA and Palm Computing with its first Handheld-PDA have redefined their industry´s market.
The Silicon Valley will be the starting point for Wappwolf on its way to a global player. The company provides a web-service, where software developer will offer their APPs for business to business or private use. Core of the system, being the decisive difference to other app stores, is the "workflow engine". Members can employ a wide array of community provided apps that can be combined to user generated workflows, which are used to generate, process, transport and deliver all kinds of business or personal documents.
Social elements of state of the art Web2.0 technology will encourage the interaction of the communities of members and developers e.g. forums, discussion panels, ranking, voting and a request system for special needs.
It is as easy like spelling a word.
Wappwolf is an artificial brandname and means: W-eb APP-lication FLOW (Wolf flipped).
The benefit is obvious: easy to use handling instead of complicated interchange problems, flexible solutions combined to a workflow instead of complex software packages, pay by use instead of expensive license agreements, cost savings through automation of document workflows.
Wappwolf - the idea was born in 2007. The impulse for realization was in spring 2010: two friends (now CEO and CFO), some beer and a statement like "I had the idea of Apples app-store already three years ago...!" - followed by the first business plan. The right time is NOW! After the downturn of the last couple of years the positive spirit is back again in the startup scene.
Wappwolf is ready for take off to a global player. What´s missing? The garage - so that the Wappwolf founders can tell their grandchildren in 30 years about the myths of the early days of in 2010...
