FT Study of Transformative Ideas Kicks Off Activities to Spotlight 'Game Changing,' a Year-Long Program About Navigating Shifts in Business and the Global Economy

(firmenpresse) - BOSTON, MA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/11/13 -- has announced a series of partnerships with some of the world's premier content organizations to engage leaders on the requirements for success in today's volatile environment and to mark the firm's fiftieth anniversary.

At the heart of these partnerships will be BCG's Game Changing Program -- a year-long endeavor that addresses the most fundamental dynamics facing leaders at a time of unprecedented turbulence. As part of this program, BCG has identified five requirements for successfully managing in an age of accelerating change. For more, click .

"This anniversary has given us the opportunity to promote action-oriented breakthrough ideas for transforming the fortunes of business and society. We are proud that our partners -- the , and also , , and -- are helping us express these perspectives in unique ways," said BCG President and Chief Executive Officer, .

The program kicks off with the launch of a BCG-Financial Times initiative.

BCG is supporting the Financial Times in a global search for "the 50 ideas -- inventions, management philosophies, business processes, and innovations -- that created today's business world." This will culminate in a special magazine supplement, "The 50 Ideas That Shaped Business Today." Lesser will join a panel of senior editors and business leaders to select the 50 best ideas submitted from senior FT journalists, the FT's 2.2 million readers, and the broader business community. The supplement will be distributed worldwide with the paper's June 13 edition. In addition, a dedicated page on FT.com () will feature articles and videos throughout the course of the search.

The world-renowned photographic agency Magnum Photos and designers Kram/Weisshaar will create a cutting-edge exhibition to celebrate BCG's anniversary. Through a combination of documentary photography and immersive multimedia, they will interpret the five key requirements for success that underpin the Game Changing Program. More details will be announced closer to the scheduled premiere of the exhibition in Paris on May 30.

BCG will partner with TED -- a nonprofit dedicated to "ideas worth spreading" -- to spark a deeper conversation about the Game Changing Program. This partnership will include offline and online activities throughout the year on the topics raised by the program. More on this partnership will be announced at TEDGlobal 2013 -- one of TED's two annual conferences -- in June.
