SGS to Conduct Training Course on FIDIC Contract Conditions in Odessa, Ukraine
On October 4-5, 2010, SGS will be carrying out a two-day
international training course with the title ‘Practical Introduction to
FIDIC Contract Conditions’ in Odessa, Ukraine. Practical
assistance will be provided to those working with the new FIDIC
Contract Conditions (1999 edition) in the management of claims
and achieving resolution to claims.
SGS to Provide Training Course on FIDIC Contract Conditions in Ukraine(firmenpresse) - On October 4-5, 2010, SGS provides a two-day training course
entitled ‘Practical Introduction to FIDIC Contract Conditions’ at
the Odessa Hotel in Odessa in Odessa, Ukraine. Experienced
engineers, Ivan Brlej, member of the presidium of local FIDIC
organization, and Peter Mellen, an SGS expert, will offer the
participants the opportunity to learn about FIDIC claims,
disputes, adjudication and arbitration procedures.
FIDIC, the International Federation of Consulting Engineers,
represents the consulting engineering industry globally. The
Federation promotes the business interests of firms supplying
technology-based intellectual services for both the man-made
and natural environments.
As the understanding of the new FIDIC Contract Conditions is of
great significance for the consulting engineering industry
worldwide, SGS Ukraine has organized a two-day training
course, entitled ‘Practical Introduction to FIDIC Contract
Conditions’.
With its extensive experience with FIDIC in various projects, SGS
will provide the attendees with valuable information on how to
execute engineering construction contracts successfully in
accordance with the new Conditions of Contract.
Practical assistance is offered to those working with the new
FIDIC Contract Conditions in the management of claims,
achieving resolution to claims and, in particular, the workings of
the Dispute Adjudication Board. The attendees will have the
opportunity to better understand the responsibilities and rights
of the parties under a New FIDIC Contract and the procedures to
manage claims in order to achieve the resolution of claims
more successfully.
Topics such as the structure of FIDIC, its national organizations
and general conditions will be discussed during the event.
Moreover, the attendees will learn about the types of FIDIC
general conditions and their implementation in East European
countries. SGS Industrial Services will focus on the basics of the
new FIDIC Contract Conditions, including all the main clauses.
