Cleanzone Congress 2013 targets new themes
Increased efficiency, greater cleanliness and stricter standards: the requirements for manufacturing, products and services are increasing worldwide. Cleanrooms are becoming essential in a growing number of industries and areas of application, even as the pace of change in this in-demand interdisciplinary technology continues to increase. The second Cleanzone Congress will be tackling the latest developments head on, presenting the themes that are important for the future on 22 and 23 October 2013. As a result, it will be addressing the needs of cleanroom experts and users at an interdisciplinary and international level.
Cleanzone Congress on 22 and 23 October 2013(firmenpresse) - Visitors to Frankfurt will be able to take advantage of a professional programme that covers not only cross-industry trends, but also specialist areas. In 2013 the organisers will be focusing on the areas of energy efficiency, cleanrooms & hospitals, nanotechnology & measurement, facility management & cleanroom systems and surface cleanliness. The following fields will also be dealt with: the future of cleanroom technology, cleanroom testing & monitoring, standardisation, sales and services.
The prestigious Cleanzone Congress will feature a total of twelve high-calibre presentations, and like last year it will be taking place alongside the trade fair. “I am very pleased by Cleanzone's outstanding concept and its successful balance between the congress programme and trade fair. As a result, it is able to offer visitors a practical mix of the latest knowledge, substantive presentations and in-depth discussions on the themes that matter to our industry – as well as a good overview of specific providers, solutions and products,” says jury member Arnold Brunner, a professional engineer (Dipl. Ing. SIA) and full-time lecturer for building technology at the Lucerne University of Applied Sciences.
International jury of experts
Brunner is a new addition to this year's international jury of experts for the congress. In their advisory role, jury members serve to uphold the programme's high academic standards. The members for 2013 are:
- Dipl. Ing. SIA Arnold Brunner, Professional Engineer (Lucerne University of Applied Sciences, Switzerland),
- Frank Duvernell (ReinraumAkademie, Leipzig),
- Prof. Gernod Dittel (Dittel Engineering, Kochel/Ried),
- Conor Murray (Irish Cleanroom Society/ICS, Dublin, Ireland) and
- Dipl.-Phys. Thomas Wollstein, Professional Physicist (VDI/Association of German Engineers, Düsseldorf).
Call for papers set to open
The international call for papers will open on 29 April 2013, inviting experts from around the world to submit their proposals pertaining to congress' areas of focus. These treatises, studies or best practice presentations should be of an academic standard, communicate innovations and be in either German or English.

Cleanzone in Frankfurt
Cleanzone is the new international cross-sector meeting place for cleanroom technology. It is organised by Messe Frankfurt and supported by its marketing and content partner Reinraumakademie Leipzig. Participants from 13 countries made their way to Frankfurt for the debut in October 2012, and both the trade fair and congress earned top marks: 89 percent of visitors and 84 percent of exhibitors were “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with the event's debut, 46 percent of visitors were from top management, and 88 percent stated that they were able to influence purchasing and procurement decisions in their companies. Both the international scope and thematic range of the trade fair and congress are to be expanded in their second year.
In 2013 Cleanzone will be held in Hall 1, alongside the CPhI Worldwide pharmaceutical ingredients event.
