(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwired) -- 04/26/13 -- This month sees Project Tiger celebrate its 40th birthday. The India-based project attempts to safeguard a population of Bengal tigers in their natural habit. The largest member of the big cat family has always held a special appeal for holidaymakers and now it's possible to travel to exotic surroundings and see these wonderful creatures in the wild without breaking the bank.

Goa

This old hippy haven of the 60s has become a top holiday destination, with miles of uninterrupted coastline under bright blue skies and temperatures of around 27 degrees. There was a ban on 'tiger tourism' in during 2012 but this ban has been lifted and there are countless tour companies that organise trips to see the majestic Bengal tiger in the wild. Nature lovers can combine wildlife tours with visits to luxury spas, Hindu temples and some of the best seafood shacks in the world.

Egypt

Thousands of visitors flock to every year to see the spectacular coral reefs of the Red Sea. These vibrant natural wonders are teeming with marine life including shark, rays, eel and octopus. As one of the most affordable diving destinations in the world, the area is full of reputable dive schools that offer tuition to beginners and experts alike.

Greece

is one of the sunniest islands in Greece and also one of the best places to swim with sea turtles in Europe. There's also a chance to see monk seals ducking and diving around the fascinating underwater caves. There's a huge range of accommodation options on the island so visitors can find something that suits their taste and budget.

Bulgaria

Bulgaria is a huge up and coming holiday destination that offers great weather in the summer. Along with the excellent beaches of the Black Sea coast, Bulgaria boasts fantastic ancient forests that are home to brown bears, wild goats, bats and rare birds. The Valley of the Kings is a must-see for culture vultures. Archaeologists are still digging up golden artefacts and uncovering beautiful frescoes there.

Florida

Florida's so much more than the home of Disneyland. A fun-filled family holiday can easily be turned into a wildlife adventure with a visit to the everglades. The kids will love looking at the alligators and crocodiles from the safety of an airboat. Florida also gives visitors the once-in-a-lifetime experience of swimming with bottlenose dolphins.
