Diaz Announces Appointment of John Nelson to Board of Directors

(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 04/30/13 -- Diaz Resources Ltd. ("Diaz" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: DZR) is pleased to announce the appointment of John R. Nelson to its board of directors. Mr. Nelson has over twenty-seven years of resource industry experience and is currently the President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Africa Hydrocarbons Inc., a TSX Venture Exchange ("TSXV") listed oil and gas company with operations in Tunisia. Mr. Nelson's industry experience includes previously serving as President, Chief Executive Officer and a director of Lion Energy Corp., which was acquired by Africa Oil Corp. in 2011, and as President and a director of Winslow Resources Inc. prior to its acquisition by DualEx Energy International Inc. in 2007. Mr. Nelson also currently serves on the board of directors of DualEx Energy International and Liuyang Fireworks Limited, both of which are listed on the TSXV, and holds B.Sc. and M.Sc. Degree's in geology from Michigan State University. Mr. Nelson is a member of APEGGA and AAPG.

Diaz is an oil and gas exploration and production company based in Calgary, Alberta. Diaz's current focus is on heavy oil development and exploration in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
