(firmenpresse) - TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwired) -- 05/03/13 -- Solid Gold Resources Corp. (the "Solid Gold") (TSX VENTURE: SLD) announces that the new directors of Solid Gold have appointed Andre Tanguay as the new interim Chief Executive Officer of Solid Gold. The directors would like to express their gratitude to Alan Myers, the Chief Financial Officer of Solid Gold, for serving as interim Chief Executive Officer for the past few months.
Andre Tanguay is the co-founder of Solid Gold. He has extensive resource exploration and prospecting experience, dating from the mid-1970's. His work in the Timmins area led to the founding of Solid Gold in 2007, and the acquisition of an extensive land package in the resource-rich Lake Abitibi area of Ontario.
The Chairman of the board is Ronald Goldsack. He has extensive investment industry and financial services experience. He is a former director of Goldcorp, and a co-founder of Gordon Capital for 28 years, and was for 3 years a partner at Griffiths McBurney and Partners (GMP).
