Just like when you're on the water, the glare from the sun on the white snow can cause visual impairment, and even some pretty nasty sunburn. Wearing sunglasses while spending the day on the ski slopes can help you see better, and keep you out of the optometrist's office.

Sunglasses on the beach are like butter on toast-absolutely necessary. Since common beachwear doesn't really allow for zippers or other kinds of loops, someone should invent the bikini sunglass holder - they'd probably make a fortune.
