Greenvironment steps up its activities in Eastern Europe

- First order for new product line: microturbine CHP together with Calnetix ORC turbine

Berlin, 7th October 2010 – Greenvironment plc has founded on 1st of October 2010 a new subsidiary called “GGC spolecnost s r.o.” based in Havirov in the Czech Republic. GGC is a jointly owned company of Greenvironment plc and Gascontrol spolecnost s r.o.. The aim of the joint venture is the distribution and operation of decentralized power solutions in the Czech and Polish markets.
Greenvironment will develop GGC to become the Organic Rankine Circle (ORC) system integrator for the Greenvironment Group. For this Greenvironment will bring into GGC one of its own Calnetix ORC turbines to Havirov to be installed on top of a 800 kW microturbine plant beginning of 2011.
"The developments in Eastern Europe throughout offer great potential for Greenvironment. The establishment of GGC comes at the very right time facing great demand for reliable distributed power solutions mainly from industrial customers. Local foothold, local engineering capabilities and established networks in the markets, is the key to success," says Greenvironment COO Peter Dorner.
Mr Matti Malkamäki, CEO of Greenvironment plc, states: "Having recently closed a deal for the installation of a 65kW turbine for tri-generation with the technical university in Sulechow, it is just one example that the demand steps up also from academic side for viable and efficient power generation solutions. Also we see improvements in Eastern Europe in terms of legal stability for the renewable energy production and eased project financing capabilities for potential customers, thus we are confident for the forecasts given towards Eastern Europe beginning of this year."
