Optimism on the Berlin tech start-up scene - Hengeler Mueller hosting Venture Capital Conference 'Capital On Stage'

The Capital On Stage conference will take place for the first time in
Germany on Thursday 16 May 2013. The conference, which has already been
held in Amsterdam, London and New York, brings together top-tier investors
and founders of technology start-ups.
This year more than twenty venture capital and business angel investors are
expected. They will meet more than 200 invited start-up founders. The
investors will present themselves to the start-up founders seeking capital:
Their views on the market, what they add besides capital, and what they are
looking for in their next VC investment.
Arjen Strijker, the co-founder of Capital On Stage, said about the Berlin
event: 'I expect the tech start-up scene in Berlin to produce some great
companies with global brands in the next 18 months. We are delighted by the
great interest in attending in our event.'
Malin Gustafsson and Nina Faulhaber from Index Ventures: 'We are very
positive about developments in the German start-up scene. Not only the
quantity but also the quality of German start-ups is extremely promising.
Berlin and other German locations too have an active ecosystem, a growing
talent pool, increasing investor activity and experienced start-up teams,
so we are really looking forward to Capital On Stage.'
