- First BMO Team of the Week finalist from Quebec for 2013 - Girls' team actively involved with the Club des petits dejeuners du Quebec to raise funds and provide nutritious breakfasts to school kids
(firmenpresse) - LAVAL, QUEBEC -- (Marketwired) -- 05/08/13 -- BMO Financial Group is inviting the Laval community to celebrate Monteuil Sparta's recent BMO Team of the Week win. The celebration will take place at the BMO Vimont Branch, located at 2040 Boulevard des Laurentides in Laval on May 10th. This is the second time the U10 girls' team has been named a finalist in BMO's national grassroots soccer program.
"It's a first for BMO to have a repeat winner," said Francois Hudon, Senior Vice-President, Quebec Division & Co-Head, North American Specialized Sales. "The team spirit and pride these girls have for the game and their commitment to their community makes it easy to see why the judges nominated them two years in a row."
As part of the win, the team will receive a $500 team prize and BMO Team of the Week tracksuits. Plus, BMO will make a $500 donation to the team's charity of choice. Monteuil Sparta have chosen the Club des petits dejeuners du Quebec, whose mission is to provide Quebec elementary and secondary school students with a nutritious breakfast to help improve their academic performance. The Club is present in more than 100 primary and secondary schools across the province.

BMO Team of the Week is Canada's premier sport celebration at the grassroots level, engaging a nation and inspiring communities by recognizing youth soccer teams who demonstrate team pride, team spirit, community commitment and passion for the game. Fifteen weekly winners will be named BMO Team of the Week starting April 17, and entered for a chance to be voted by Canadians as BMO Team of the Week 2013 Champion. The grand prize includes a $125,000 refurbishment of their community soccer field and a road trip to a Toronto FC, Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Montreal Impact, or Canadian National Team home game. Former BMO Team of the Week Champions include Glen Shields Sun Devils 2000 (2011) and Ladner Storm (2012).
