Ahold share buyback update

Amsterdam, the Netherlands, May 13, 2013 - Ahold has repurchased 1,299,772 Ahold
common shares in the period from May 6, 2013 up to and including May 10, 2013.
The shares were repurchased at an average price of ? 12.2564 per share for a
total consideration of ? 15.93 million. These repurchases were made as part of
the ? 500 million share buyback program announced on February 28, 2013.
The total number of shares repurchased under this program to date is 8,277,675
common shares for a total consideration of ? 98.89 million.
