UMS AG releases figures for Q1 2013 - forecast for full fiscal year
confirmed
Hamburg, 14 May, 2012 - UMS United Medical Systems International AG (UMS/
ISIN DE0005493654) has published its figures for the first quarter of 2013,
and they are in line with the forecast for the full fiscal year 2013.
Consolidated sales under IFRS in the first quarter amounted to EUR10.0
million, following EUR10.5 million in the same period last year.
Net income in the first quarter of 2013 amounted to EUR2.4 million, after
EUR2.7 million in Q1 of 2012. Earnings per share (EPS) for the first three
months of the new fiscal year amounted to 12 cents, after 16 cents in the
same period last year.
In view of the first quarter performance, UMS AG confirms its forecast of a
further increase in sales and earnings for the full year of 2013: assuming
a stable exchange rate, the company expects earnings per share to increase
to between 60 and 65 cents, with consolidated sales between EUR43 and 45
million.
'Earnings for the first quarter met our expectations,' said Jorgen Madsen,
CEO of UMS AG. 'We are therefore confident that earnings per share will
increase again for the full fiscal year 2013.'
