Former Google Country Manager to Lead India Operations for Disruptive Display Advertising Company

Narayanan has been at the forefront of India's digital industries since 1999, and now brings his expertise to one of the fastest-growing companies in online advertising. He will be responsible for all of Sociomantic's operations in India.



Narayanan has worked with companies such as Rediff.com, Bidorbuyindia.com, Baazee.com, Mediaturf Worldwide and Times Now. He was the founding member of Google India's direct sales operations in 2005 and helped lay the foundation for the growth of Google in India. He joined AdMob as country head for India in June 2009 to help establish the company's successful local presence. Following Google's acquisition of AdMob in 2010, Narayanan returned to Google where he drove the company's mobile business for India.

Among his many accolades, Narayanan was named one of the Top 100 Tech Indians by Exhibit magazine in May 2012 and was also recently included in the IMPACT Digital Power 100 List of "icons of India's Digital Ecosystem."

Narayanan joins Sociomantic at a time of rapid growth for the company:

Last fiscal year, Sociomantic grew from 20 to 100 employees and expects to double headcount again in the next 12 months.

In addition to existing European offices in Berlin, Warsaw, Paris, and Amsterdam, in 2012 the company launched operations in Sao Paulo, Moscow, New York, London and Madrid.

Today, Sociomantic delivers intelligent online display campaigns for eCommerce advertisers in more than 50 markets worldwide.

India is a promising market for digital ad spend. According to Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI) and Indian Market Research Bureau International, digital ad spend in India rose by 29 percent, and is expected to grow this year by another 30 percent, nearly twice the anticipated growth rate in the U.S. or Europe.
