NYC-Based Guardians of Rescue in Moore, OK to Raise American Flag Brought From New York
(firmenpresse) - MOORE, OK -- (Marketwired) -- 05/27/13 -- Today, Memorial Day 2013, is a day to remember those who have paid the ultimate price in defending America. The Guardians of Rescue have brought with them the feelings of all Americans along with an American Flag to be raised after the 3pm moment of silence in honor of Memorial day at Fort Thunder Harley-Davidson located at 500SW 11th Street, Moore, OK.
"All of us at Fort Thunder Harley-Davidson would like to thank the members of New York City-based Guardians of Rescue and their president Robert Misseri for caring enough about us to travel 40 hours to bring an American flag to replace the one we had that was destroyed during the tornado," said all of the staff here at Fort Thunder Harley-Davison.
Robert Misseri is joined by fellow Guardian members John Walis, an Afghanistan war Veteran, and Ron Gallucco, who is a Vietnam Veteran, along with his 13 year old son Ron. "We are extremely proud to be able to be here in Moore, OK to work with and help out the residents that have been affected by such devastation," said Misseri.

This event could not be made possible without the assistance and tremendous support of The DAV Department of Oklahoma that immediately got involved from the moment the tornado struck. DAV is assisting veterans with financial assistance grants and they are also providing veterans with transportation to and from the VA hospitals to replace medication and be seen by doctors.
