(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 05/27/13 -- AsiaBaseMetals Inc. ("AsiaBaseMetals" or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: ABZ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Steven Khan as a Director of the Company.
Mr. Khan, currently the President and a Director of Strathmore Minerals Corp., is also on the board of Tintina Resources Inc., Mantra Capital Inc., and various other companies. Mr. Khan, with over twenty years of experience in all aspects of the investment industry, including retail, institutional sales, corporate finance, capital markets, and investment banking, has for the past 10 years focused on financing and corporate development activities for numerous private and public companies with Sona Capital Limited, his private company. Mr. Khan, a graduate of the University of British Columbia (B.Sc. - 1978 & MBA - 1983), is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
