Completely noninvasive assessment of full hemodynamics with CNAP: launch of enhanced technology at ESA in Barcelona

(PresseBox) - Again, CNSystems has enhanced the functionality of its CNAP technology and will present this innovation at the congress of the European Society of Anaesthesiology (ESA) in Barcelona this weekend.
With its safe and easy to use double finger sensor CNAP now also provides the important information of cardiac output and all derived values which can be obtained from the widely validated blood pressure signal. Thus, a continuous, completely noninvasive hemodynamic assessment of the patient is possible - and this is absolutely painless and complication-free for the patient.
The special feature of the new technology is that the already installed base of CNAP devices can be upgraded just by adding software. "Operating rooms as well as monitoring stations always suffer from a lack of space. Therefore, the challenge to our engineers was to integrate the calculation software for the cardiac output in the current CNAP module. Thus, our OEM customers have the option to easily upgrade their existing patient monitors with the new features.", Dr. Juergen Fortin, CEO of CNSystems explains. This also applies to the stand-alone version of CNAP - the CNAP Monitor 500. The new feature for the CNAP module and CNAP Monitor 500 are currently passing through the CE approval process which will be completed this autumn.

CNSystems from Austria is technological leader in noninvasive, continuous hemodynamic monitoring (CNAP®).
