Line-up Announcement for Malta Music Week Sees Increased Last Minute Bookings to the Mediterranean
Mercury Direct predicts music fans will flock to Malta this June
(firmenpresse) - LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM -- (Marketwired) -- 05/30/13 -- Leading specialists in travel to Malta, Mercury Direct have seen an influx of bookings to the island ahead of the popular , running from June 21-26.
The festival, now in its seventh year, will see Example, Rita Ora, Rudimental and Jessie J take to the stage. Unlike UK based festivals, music fans can swap wellington boots for sunglasses and enjoy the sun and sea Malta has to offer.
British music festivals have seen a dip in sales this year, with Hop Farm Music Festival and Sonisphere among the events cancelled. Reportedly fans are instead flocking to festivals over-seas in the hope to guarantee sun, sea and sand. But with the Isle of MTV event featuring Rita Ora and Rudimental being free Malta Music Week looks set to attract thousands from the UK and beyond.

Following in the footsteps of fellow 'The Voice' judge Will.I.Am, who headlined last year, the multi award winning songstress is an exciting addition to this year's lineup.
Rita Ora released her UK number one debut album in 2012 and has since achieved three number one singles. Best known for her pop anthem RIP, Ora was nominated for three awards at the 2013 BRIT Awards, including Best Breakthrough Act. She is also well known for her singles Hot Right Now and How We Do (Party).
Rudimental rose to fame in 2012 with their number one single Feel the Love. The electronic music quartet more recently released the successful single Waiting All Night.
Previous headliners have included Snoop Dogg/Lion and LMFAO and with more acts due to be announced this year's Malta Music week is promising to be the best yet.
