BDI - BioEnergy International AG: Annual Shareholders' Meeting elects new
Supervisory Board member

(Grambach, 31.05.2013) Dr Karin Schaupp was elected to be a new member of
the Supervisory Board for the 2013 and 2014 fiscal years at this year's
Annual Shareholders' Meeting of BDI - BioEnergy International AG, a
prominent technology supplier and specialised plant manufacturer in the
from waste to value field. In this capacity, she is the successor to Dr
Michael Koncar, who became a member of the Supervisory Board of BDI in
2006.

Mrs. Schaupp obtained her doctorate from the Institute of Pharmaceutical
Sciences at Graz University and has already held a number of different
management positions at Leopold Pharma, the Knoll Hospital Group and
Fresenius Kabi AG, where she was appointed to be a member of the Management
Board with global responsibility for such assignments as strategic
marketing, research and development and business development.

Since 2003, Mrs. Schaupp has been an independent consultant focussing on
strategic corporate development, innovation management and technology
transfer, organisational structures and mergers&acquisitions. Her
know-how and expertise complement BDI's strategy perfectly and will
contribute to a major extent to the expansion of the company's skills -
research, process engineering and plant manufacturing - in other areas too.
In addition to her new function as a member of the BDI Supervisory Board,
Mrs. Schaupp is a member of further Supervisory Boards as well as
scientific and research strategy bodies.

'We are delighted to welcome Mrs. Schaupp to the BDI Supervisory Board and

thus to continue implementation of our strategy by filling another board /
management position with an excellently qualified woman. We are in addition
convinced that she will play a valuable role in making sure our company
operates successfully, thanks to her many years of experience,' says Dagmar
Heiden-Gasteiner, CFO of BDI.
