Dr. Ulrich Sattler Joins Pyrolyx as COO
Munich, June 3, 2013
Pyrolyx AG has appointed Dr. Ulrich Sattler its new Chief Operations
Officer with effect from June 1, 2013. Dr. Sattler will take charge of
production, technology and process development. A chemist from the city of
Essen, Dr. Sattler has previously held senior positions at international
chemical corporations and is a prominent specialist in carbon black
production.
Dr. Ulrich Sattler earned his high international reputation in setting up
production facilities and process optimization at for instance Degussa in
Frankfurt and Evonik in Sweden. He has worked successfully in Germany and
abroad as head of technical controlling and CEO. Most recently, he was at
the helm of an IT company based in Hanover specializing in industrial
automation. An expert in carbon black production, his publications include
a patent for nanostructured particulate, for which he received the Degussa
Carbon Black Award.
Pyrolyx AG has successfully completed all the trials for the commercial
recovery of carbon black. The Munich-based company is now engineering its
first large-scale industrial plant for the continuous production of carbon
black from end-of-life tires. 'The fact that such an eminent specialist as
Dr. Sattler is joining us underlines the importance of the outstanding
technological developments of the past few months and the success of the
tests recently concluded,' declared CEO Niels Raeder.
