Chemicals firm Kemira selects TPG PSLink to integrate Microsoft Project Server with SAP
TPG The Project Group signs up new partner in Finland
Together with its new partner in Finland, the IT service provider Tietotalo Infocenter Oy, TPG The Project Group has started work on an extensive new project at Kemira Oyj, a global chemical company based in Finland. For Kemira’s R&D function Tietotalo is implementing an enterprise-wide project management system based on Microsoft Enterprise Project Management (EPM) and SharePoint. The TPG PSLink product is being used to enable the bidirectional integration of SAP and Microsoft Project.
Chemicals firm Kemira selects TPG PSLink to integrate Microsoft Project Server with SAP(firmenpresse) - “Kemira’s management wanted to ensure that the integration of Microsoft Project Server with SAP would be completed rapidly,” comments Ville Vakkilainen, Director, Project Business Unit at Tietotalo. “Our customer’s decision to use TPG PSLink for this project was mainly based on its SAP certification and multiple customer references,” he adds. The TPG product provides a user-friendly project management environment in which data from SAP and Microsoft Project Server are synchronized in the background. Users from project management and accounting can continue to use the tools they are most familiar with. The product also eliminates the need for dual data management in the two systems, while ensuring a high level of user acceptance.
Having already signed up a partner in Denmark, the alliance with project management specialist Tietotalo in Finland represents the next step forward for TPG in the Nordic market. “The Finnish market offers significant potential for our product range,” notes Stavros Georgantzis, Managing Director of TPG The Project Group. “With Tietotalo, we have a highly qualified and experienced Microsoft partner with customers in several promising industries, such as energy. As our products complement and extend Microsoft Project, they offer multiple benefits to Tietotalo’s customers.”
