CompuGroup Medical Strengthens Presence in the Middle East

June 6, 2013: CompuGroup Medical (CGM) Turkey will provide know-how and
IT-systems for health fund management in Yemen in the future. Within the
scope of the newly established cooperation with the renowned Yemeni
insurance company,'AL-Watania Insurance', consultancy services to improve
patient treatment and customer management were contractually determined in
May. The collaboration strengthens CompuGroup Medical's presence as one of
the world's leading eHealth companies.
CGM Turkey is assisting AL-Watania Insurance in establishing a TPA company
(Third Party Administration) and is advising in the planning of
departments, processes and necessary infrastructures. For the management of
health funds, the 'CGM Claimer ECP Software' will be provided for use.
These services are already used by 55 private insurances, health funds and
pension funds for the management of 750,000 insured customers.
In addition to providing software, CGM Turkey is advising its new partner
in the training of physicians and employees. There is a focus on questions
regarding primary care and prevention: How can the physician encourage
patients to be more proactive about their health? How can health risks in
the workplace be minimized? 'We are very excited about this collaboration

intelligent products for the well-being of Yemeni patients. It is of the
utmost importance for us that care providers and patients worldwide benefit

The cooperation agreement was signed by Yousef Abdul Wadood Saed, Chairmen
and CEO of AL-Watania Insurance, and Gülsultan Do?an, Deputy Managing
Director of CompuGroup Medical Turkey, on May 21st, 2013 in the capitol
city of Sanaa. Since 1993, AL-Watania Insurance has been one of the most
prestigious insurance providers in Yemen. The corporation offers, amongst
others, both health and life insurances to its customers.
