KFC Canada Fans Can Eat Like a Hero when Zinger Double Down Returns on June 10th

Summer is the season of blockbusters, so it's only fitting that KFC Canada is brings its hot and spicy Zinger Double Down sandwich back to Canada for a sequel performance on June 10th, 2013.
The bun-less wonder hasn't visited Canada's shores since March 2012 and will be available nationally at all KFC restaurants across the nation starting on June 10, 2013 through to July 14, 2013.
Eat Like a Hero
"Canadian KFC fans have been awaiting this meaty sequel for quite some time," says David Vivenes, Chief Marketing Officer, KFC Canada. "June and July are all about blockbusters and good times with friends, so it's the perfect season to bring Zinger Double Down back," he says, adding that thousands of Facebook fans have been clamouring for its return.
"We hinted that it might be Double Down time on our Facebook page and our fans started celebrating almost instantly, so the time is definitely right to return the legend to its rightful place at KFC restaurants," jokes Vivenes.
The KFC Canada Zinger Double Down features two premium seasoned chicken breasts, marinated to perfection in KFC's signature hot and spicy seasoning. Double-breaded by hand for extra crunch - the KFC Zinger Double Down is topped with spicy mayonnaise sauce, processed Pepper Jack cheese and two pieces of crispy bacon.
To date, millions of chicken connoisseurs have Doubled Down during limited time, Canadian appearances - and Double Down is KFC Canada's best-selling new menu item of all time. Vivenes says that despite its mythic status, Double Down actually has less fat and calories than many deluxe burgers and subs.
According to Vivenes, there are still no plans to make Double Down a permanent menu item since fans say they love the mighty sandwich best as a special, limited time addition to the current range of premium chicken wraps, sandwiches and Original Recipe chicken.
