DTK Adhesive - maximum bonding strength even at ambient temperature and with zirconia(firmenpresse) - At the IDS 2013, the bredent Group will demonstrate its competence in the matter of plastics and dental implant prosthetics. A logical consequence of the evaluation of prosthetic implant systems was to offer the proven DTK adhesive for the attachment - and connecting parts - also for pasting individual zircon abutments.
The DTK adhesive is a double-component composite adhesive, which is used with the help of light- and self-hardening at room temperature to paste prosthetic supplies made of metal or zircon oxide. In case of metal, the adhesive bond (CoCr/NEM/EMF/Titan) is established without mechanical retentions, with the MKZ primer or the Silano pen. The DTK adhesive is also ideal for bonding attachment- or connecting parts (double T adhesive bonds) made of metal in the combination technology.
The DTK adhesive achieves its full bonding strength through light polymerization as well as self-hardening (ambient temperature). According to a research report of the Jena University, the adhesive bond strength increases from Titan to zircon dioxide (Titan adhesive base for individual zircon dioxide abutment) during artificial ageing from approx. 30 MPa to up to approx. 38 MPa. This guarantees a stable and durable bonding.
Handling of the DTK adhesive is uncomplicated and easy with two separate cartridges containing base paste and catalyst paste. The two components can be conserved for 2 years at ambient temperature.
