LaBovick Law Group Gets Involved in Statewide Educational Programs
(firmenpresse) - PALM BEACH GARDENS, FL -- (Marketwired) -- 06/12/13 -- LaBovick Law Group is proud to announce its involvement and sponsorship of the Dori Slosberg Foundation. For the past year, Brian LaBovick, Esq. has teamed up with the Dori Slosberg Foundation, traveling to various high schools throughout South Florida to instill why distracted driving can ruin a teen's life. Mr. LaBovick attended the foundation's Driver Education Conference on May 3 and gave an outstanding 50-minute presentation to educators and parents. He explained the consequences of young drivers who drive distracted.
"The point is to scare these kids into driving safely," LaBovick said. "All I'm doing is simply telling them the truth without the sugar coating."
The Dori Slosberg Foundation is a non-governmental, not for profit, public service organization dedicated to traffic safety and reversing deadly statistics on Florida roadways.
LaBovick Law Group also participated in Law Week 2013. Mark Hanson regularly volunteers with the Palm Beach County Bar Association's Mock Trial/Speaker Bureau Program. This year's program was called "Lawyers Bring Civics Education to Local Classrooms," which brought a mock jury trial to West Gate Elementary School in West Palm Beach. Mr. Hanson conducted the mock trial on May 10, where the students had to determine if John Smith was guilty of criminal trespass on Native American land. Pocahontas was even a witness. The students learned a lot about our justice system, and in the end, a hung jury was announced.
