HousingWire Magazine Issues Call for Nominations Supporting 3rd Annual Influential Women in Housing Awards Program
The Housing Finance and Real Estate Industry's Annual List of Most Influential Women to Be Published in November 2013 Issue
(firmenpresse) - DALLAS, TX -- (Marketwired) -- 06/18/13 -- HousingWire Magazine announced today that nominations are now open for the publication's 3rd annual Influential Women in Housing recognition program. Each year, HousingWire highlights 30 women leaders active in shaping the nation's mortgage and housing sectors.
Nominations are now being accepted online at through a deadline of July 31, 2013. The final list of honorees will be published with the November 2013 issue of HousingWire Magazine.
"Influential Women in Housing is a special and unique program for us at HousingWire, and I'm proud of the fact that we were the first major industry publication to institute a program like this," said Paul Jackson, CEO and publisher at HousingWire. "This annual list has become something of a gold standard in the industry, given the high standards we've put into place for selecting each of our honorees."
Last year, more than 200 nominations were received for the program. This year, HousingWire editors are prepared to review even more applications, as the U.S. housing sector has begun returning to a more healthy state.
"We've worked each year to narrow our selection criteria as interest and support continues to grow," said Jacob Gaffney, Executive Editor at HousingWire. "This year it will be tougher than ever for leaders in the industry to make the cut, as we're expecting more nominations than we've seen in the past two years."
Previous recipients of the Influential Women in Housing recognition include representatives from Freddie Mac, the Federal Housing Administration, Wells Fargo, Fannie Mae, the U.S. Treasury Department and more, including private companies and nonprofits.
