Stonesoft Receives Enterprise Firewall Certification From ICSA Labs

Only vendor with both the ICSA Labs Intrusion Prevention System Certification
and Enterprise Level Network Firewall Certification
Helsinki, Finland -18 June 2013 - The cyber security expert Stonesoft has
obtained the ICSA Labs Enterprise Firewall Certification for Stonesoft FW-315
appliance. Stonesoft is the only security vendor with both the ICSA Labs Network
Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) Certification and the Enterprise Level Network
Firewall Certification.
ICSA Labs, an independent division of Verizon, offers vendor-neutral testing and
certification. ICSA Labs tests firewall products against a standard yet evolving
set of criteria composed of both functional and assurance requirements. The new
4.1x version of the ICSA Labs criteria accommodates the evolution and reflects
the different functional requirements in today's multi-segmented firewall
market.

The new Enterprise Level Network Firewall Certification category is ICSA Labs'
most demanding category and only a few security vendors have passed the latest
set of test criteria. In order to be granted the Enterprise Level Network
Firewall Certification a product must meet all the requirements of the standard
corporate category module, but in addition the new High Availability (HA), Voice
over IP (VoiP) and IPv6 requirements. Moreover, NTP or SNTP is a necessary
requirement in this category.

Stonesoft received the ICSA Labs Network Intrusion Prevention System
Certification for its IPS products in 2007 and has been able to successfully
retain the certification since then. ICSA Labs' testing criteria reflect the
continuously evolving threat landscape and vendors are required to meet the
adjusted criteria within a specific timeframe to maintain their certification.
