String monitoring - compact and affordable
(PresseBox) - The string.bloxx product series from Gantner Instruments is designed for demanding measurements in the field of photovoltaics. The product range has been expanded to include a new module for the measurement of 24 string currents.
With the new module string.bloxx 124 monitoring of large solar plants can be realized compact and affordable.
The new module provides 24 analog inputs for current to flow up to 24 strings, each 26 A monitored. Furthermore, it has an analog input for the string tension and 2 analog inputs for temperature, 3 digital inputs for monitoring, as well as a digital output to trigger the main switch. In addition, they offer by a high shunt measurement accuracy (0.25%) and good stability (0.01% / K). The product family offers intelligent signal conditioning module in an integrated LCD for display of measured values and configuration, and an RS-485 fieldbus interface.
There are now three different versions with 8, 16 or 24 channels available. With the new version, the price per channel is significantly reduced without losing the advantages of the existing technology, such as high accuracy when measuring currents and voltages.
