Epicor Announces Federal Court Issuance of Nationwide Injunction Against Alternative Technology Solutions
(firmenpresse) - DUBLIN, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 06/24/13 -- , a global leader in for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, announced today that the United States District Court for the Central District of California entered a nationwide injunction against California based Alternative Technology Solutions, Inc., in a case filed by Epicor.
Epicor's lawsuit asserts claims for copyright and trademark infringement, false advertising, unlawful and fraudulent business practices, intentional interference with Epicor Software License Agreements, and unjust enrichment and that Alternative has violated federal and state law. Among other things, the suit alleges that Alternative has engaged in the "unlicensed use and/or duplication of proprietary Epicor ERP software, which enables Alternative to provide unauthorized consulting and software customization services to Epicor ERP customers." The suit further alleges that Alternative has through its actions misrepresented itself in the marketplace as an authorized Epicor partner.
The federal court order explicitly bars Alternative from possessing, copying, using or accessing any Epicor products or documentation which have not been validly licensed, and from using validly licensed Epicor software for an impermissible purpose.
