Bahamas Development Unveils First Ownership Opportunity for Untouched Site in Decades
French Leave Marina Village Launching in Eleuthera
(firmenpresse) - ELEUTHERA, BAHAMAS -- (Marketwired) -- 06/25/13 -- Owning a piece of Eleuthera is becoming a reality as the anticipated French Leave Marina Village presents the first true seafront cottages to be built in Governor's Harbour since the '40s.
French Leave will boast 37 authentic Bahamian hotel cottages overlooking historic Governor's Harbour and Cupid's Cay, founded in 1648. Abundant amenities will add to the experience of long walks on pink beaches, swimming in crystal clear waters, and exploring lush tropical surroundings.
The resort will offer a full-service marina on the west side, private beach club on French Leave beach to the east, the "1648" bar and grill, pool, fitness center, special events lawn, and wedding pavilion.
In addition, each hotel cottage will have access to a golf cart for traveling to the beach and private beach club.
Acknowledging the exquisite location, hotel cottages will be sold completely furnished. Nassau-based designer Amanda Lindroth, known for bringing colonial Caribbean chic to historic homes and resorts across the Bahamas, will furnish the interiors of the cottages.
Shaner Bahamas, the new development company founded by Lance Shaner and Eddie Lauth to develop French Leave in concert with Governor's Harbour Resort & Marina, Ltd., commenced construction this year.
"The combined choice 270-acre resort site from 'sea to sea' swath of pink sand beach and hills had been inaccessible and unavailable for private ownership for 75 years," Lauth said.
"With French Leave this has changed," he said, adding "The current resurgence of development in the Bahamas means that buyers at French Leave will find air travel convenient and recreation and dining options abundant."
French Leave counts the Leon Levy Native Plant Preserve and a new equestrian facility as neighbors. Close by are great dining options including the famed Tippy's restaurant.
Prices for the cottages begin in the $500,000s. Owners will have the opportunity to place the cottages into a professionally managed hotel rental program with Shaner Bahamas interested in leasing back the purchased cottages for two years.
