Latest-generation service portfolio

USU Service Manager permits specification, management and monitoring of IT
service portfolios. It allows all information about the availability of,
requests for and operation of IT services to be conveniently consolidated
in the form of specific services. For example, it can be used to describe
and structure a service catalog from the perspective of customers and to
agree services with customers and monitor them under service level
agreements. Decomposition into individual sub-services, i.e. into the




individual modules required for service delivery similarly to a parts list,
supports standardization and also forms the basis for rollout of a cost
accounting and billing system. All in all, USU Service Manager offers
tool-controlled, ITIL(R)-compliant process support over the entire
lifecycle.

Role-specific views for service customers and service providers

USU Service Manager allows you to graphically depict your IT service
portfolio from the perspective of both customers and providers. Service
customers are shown the availability and status of services. By offering
service components, your IT department can achieve a high degree of
standardization and efficiency. The system provides role-specific views of
IT services. Preconfigured roles, such as Portfolio Manager or Service
Level Manager, are available out of the box. Access rights and
responsibilities for individual users can be defined quickly and flexibly.

Support for desktop and mobile devices

USU Service Manager is a Web application that automatically fits the screen
sizes of the devices used to access it. It can be viewed and used by means
of an Internet browser on any Internet-capable user device - such as mobile
clients like tablets and smartphones with an iOS or Android operating
system or on Blackberries - without installing any apps.

Flexible operating models: Cloud solution or on-premise installation

There are different operating models for USU Service Manager: As an
efficient, highly available cloud solution, the application offers maximum
flexibility and is upand running right away. In this case, the hosting and
data storage occur solely in TÜV-certified data centers based in Germany.
Each client is assigned its own database and dedicated computer resources,
thus ensuring the highest level of data security. Alternatively, the system
can be installed as an on-premise solution in the customer's own data
center. In this case, user rights are acquired through a one-time purchase
of a user license, and the customer is solely responsible for system
operation.

Management of services as IT business

USU Service Manager proactively manages the services provided as a supply
chain - from the initial planning, to the development and on down to the
ultimate provisioning. As a result, the solution enables service providers
to tackle new business challenges facing them. Anyone interested can learn
