June and July Are the Best Times to Get Senior Portraits Done, According to Photographer

(firmenpresse) - LITTLETON, CO -- (Marketwired) -- 06/28/13 -- With most yearbook photos due in October or even earlier, seniors should get their done during the summer to avoid stress, crowded scheduling, and the risk of missing deadlines, according to Element One Photography.

Element One Photography's senior portraits can include:

Pre-session makeover

NEW Element Session package including photos in a park setting and downtown Littleton

Automatic submission of portraits to yearbooks, including handling of submission fees

$50 referral credit

Element One Photography owner Kim Koehler said her company takes pride in its senior portraits, "I consider photographing seniors to be one of the biggest perks of my job, because I love helping them get pictures that exceed all expectations."

Kim says she is happy to be a trendsetter in this area, "I like to see other people trying to imitate what we do best. It's flattering, but it's also funny, because not everyone can do what we do. We carefully screen our photographers for the talent to approach a session creatively and come up with the absolute best shot for each subject."

Although she has been accused of putting models in her senior magazine, she explains that is not the case. "We use no models in our magazine -- these are all local seniors from area high schools like Cherry Creek, Highlands Ranch, Littleton, and Arapahoe who came to us for their senior portraits. We just make them look like models. Part of it is the makeover before the session, and part of it is the talent of our photographers to capture people in the right pose, the right lighting, and the right setting to make them look great."

Seniors and their families who want to get more information or schedule a senior portrait session with Element One Photography should call 303-847-9726 or use their .

Kim Koehler founded Element One Photography after more than five years working for and managing corporately-owned studios. She decided to form her own studio to create portraits that better reflected the true character of her subjects, something that she felt could only come from spending one-on-one time with individuals and families through all phases of the photography process. Having set up her studio in Downtown Littleton, she feels that the unique look and feel of her studio contributes to the special character of her photography.
