ThyssenKrupp Inhouse Consulting joins the initiative 'dichter dran' (being
closer)
+++ The 'being closer' initiative now has 16 members +++
Frankfurt, July 1, 2013 - ThyssenKrupp Management Consulting (TKMC) is the
newest member of the 'being closer' initiative. The ThyssenKrupp Group's
in-house management consulting unit enhances the cooperation of in-house
consulting units with their staff and expertise. As a group-wide consulting
service, TKMC provides support for top management across all business
areas, as well as for the Group's corporate centre.
Since its founding in 2009, TKMC has grown to 25 employees with different
educational and professional backgrounds. Therefore it provides a good
combination of engineers, scientists and economists, who are contributing
to the realignment of the ThyssenKrupp Group. The project quality benefits
from the diverse know-how and experiences of the team members that result
in a variety of complementary viewpoints and approaches. TKMC focuses on
projects in the fields of business strategy and organizational development,
market and competition analysis, as well as operative performance
improvements. To ensure sustainability, the consultants are available after
project conclusion in order to further support their internal clients
during implementation of recommended improvements.
In the course of their consulting activities at TKMC, consultants become
familiar with various business topics within the diversified industrial
group. At the same time, working on projects throughout the Group allows
them to build up their network within ThyssenKrupp and with senior
management. This provides an ideal basis for the consultants to grow into a
line position and to assume management responsibilities within the Group in
the mid-term.
Since its establishment in 2008, the 'being closer' initiative has grown
from seven to its present 16 members.
