mBlox Names Bronwyn Guthrie General Manager of the Americas
(firmenpresse) - SUNNYVALE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/02/13 -- Today, mBlox, the leader in global mobile business to person engagement, announced the appointment of Bronwyn Guthrie as General Manager of the Americas responsible for Western Hemisphere Sales and Global Marketing. Guthrie brings expertise in sales, management, operations and marketing for various divisions at IBM based in the U.S., Canada and Australia. She joins mBlox to manage sales and operations within the Americas, while steering the company into new growth areas for mobile engagement on a global scale.

Guthrie will report to Tom Cotney, Chief Executive Officer, and oversee mBlox's overall business in the Americas. She will also drive marketing, corporate branding and public relations globally to further enhance mBlox's reputation as the leading mobile engagement platform in the industry.

Guthrie brings to mBlox over thirty years of management expertise and has a proven track record of success in services solution sales, delivery and P&L management and business process re-engineering. During her tenure at IBM, Guthrie developed a reputation as a hands-on executive responsible for many of the company's most strategic businesses, including Country Manager for IBM Credit Corp. and the IBM PC Company in Australia. She also ran a number of services business units in the U.S. including IBM's Utilities practice for IT outsourcing and Infrastructure Services for the Public Sector. Most recently, she managed the Business Process Outsourcing division of IBM in Canada.

Guthrie holds an undergraduate degree from the University of New South Wales in Australia and a post-graduate degree from Macquarie University in Australia. She resides in New York City and will have offices in New York City, NY and in Sunnyvale, CA.
