Across Systems GmbH has stepped up its focus on language service providers
(PresseBox) - 07.2013 - By establishing its own LSP (Language Service Provider) Advisory Board, Across Systems GmbH has stepped up its focus on language service providers. The first meeting was held at this year's Across LSP Day and represented the first step toward an even closer collaboration.
The objective of the LSP Advisory Board is to take the needs of the language service providers into greater consideration in the further development of the Across Language Server. "We have been engaged in constructive dialog with our company's advisory board for many years. This board consists of representatives of globally positioned industrial enterprises who continually provide us with new impulses for our work. To also involve the language service providers more closely in our development processes, we have established a suitable platform in the form of the LSP Advisory Board", explains Niko Henschen, CEO of Across Systems GmbH. The members of the Advisory Board agree that open, trusting discussions about market trends and meaningful extensions of the translation management systems constitute the basis for jointly pushing ahead the product development. "By establishing the LSP Advisory Board, Across demonstrates that qualified language service providers are a central element of the localization supply chain and important knowledge owners who support the joint industrial customers in finding solutions in the field of translations", comments Andrea Kunze, Director of TransMission Übersetzungen GmbH.
Apart from the introduction of the Advisory Board members and the definition of targets, the agenda of the first meeting of the Across LSP Advisory Board featured general news at Across. Of course, this included the highlights of the current version 5.7 of the Across Language Server. The outlook on the next development steps for Across v6, whose release is planned for 2014, provided concrete ideas for the exchange of opinions.
Across LSP Day 2013:
On the day following the first Advisory Board Meeting, many subjects were addressed once more and discussed with other language service providers at the Across LSP Day in Karlsruhe, Germany. The diversified program, which consisted of specialized lectures and application reports, offered many impulses in this connection. At the end of the day, the recently developed Across certification program was introduced to all participants. The training concept, which is designed especially for language service providers, supplements the portfolio that Across offers to this customer group.
