The A Million Acts of Friendship Video Contest, which runs through the summer, challenges families across the country to create and submit a short video that captures what friendship means to them.

"Many parents are also looking for new and compelling ways to encourage positive social behaviors. The grand prize winner will receive $1,000 cash, a $1,000 donation to their school, an Apple iPad Mini, a backpack full of goodies, a six-month subscription to Just Be Friends™ and the opportunity to have their video featured in a national marketing campaign for Just Be Friends™.

Just Be Friends™ is an interactive, social education platform that helps families and children connect, with each other and with their community. By promoting healthy, positive relationships and bringing like-minded parents and kids together in a safe, online environment, Just Be Friends™ works to unite people and change lives, one friendship at a time!

Just Be Friends™ includes a website for families, and programs such as the school-based A Million Acts of Friendship campaign and the A Million Acts of Friendship national video contest. The contest closes August 19, 2013 and is open to residents of all Canadian provinces except Quebec.
