GeoNovus Begins Work at Mink Lake Gold Project, Ontario
(firmenpresse) - VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/09/13 -- GEONOVUS MINERALS CORP. (TSX VENTURE: GNM) ("GeoNovus" or the "Company") has begun work at their Mink Lake Gold Project, located approximately five kilometers northeast of the town of Wawa. Several historic gold showings will be visited and sampled, that range from 0.29 up to 3.29 g/t Au and occur on strike with historic drilling that reported a best intercept of 29.65 g/t Au over 2.2 meters (see GeoNovus news release, 16th June, 2013). Additional historic data for the property include a showing of 11.64 g/t Au that is 1.7 km to the southwest along strike with showings reported earlier, and a 64.5 g/t Au showing located one kilometer northwest of the historic drilling (Ontario Geological Survey, 1991, MDI File MDI42C02SW00005MDI42C02SW00006). Subject to receiving positive assay results from this phase of exploration, an IP geophysical survey is planned for high priority areas of the property.
The technical contents of this release were approved by Dr. Tom E. McCandless, P. Geo., Technical Advisor to GeoNovus Minerals and qualified person as defined by National Instrument 43-101. The property has not been the subject of a National Instrument 43-101 report, and Dr. McCandless has not verified the technical data disclosed in this release.
