St. Louis Native Joins Dr. Gilbert Webb, Dr. James Bartelsmeyer, Dr. Sue Moore and Dr. Bruce Morris as the Practice's Fifth Full-Time Physician

LOUIS, MO -- (Marketwired) -- 07/09/13 -- (MFM), a St. Louis-based group of high-risk obstetricians, recently appointed Dr. Laura Vricella as a full-time maternal-fetal medicine specialist to support the continued growth of the practice. Midwest Maternal-Fetal Medicine provides expertise in diagnosing, treating and caring for women with high-risk pregnancies and their babies.

Dr. Vricella grew up in St. Louis and attended Kirkwood High School. She completed her undergraduate degree at Washington University in St. Louis, and received her doctorate from the University of Missouri School of Medicine. Dr. Vricella completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at The Cleveland Clinic/ MetroHealth Medical Center and completed her fellowship in maternal-fetal medicine at Case Western Reserve University/MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland. Dr. Vricella's research has been focused on outcomes of anesthesia and obesity in pregnancy.
