Heliocentris Energy Solutions AG wins one of the world's largest mobile
network operators as a new customer
* MoU signed for the delivery of turnkey energy solutions
* Order value of around EUR 10 million expected

Berlin - 10 July 2013: One of the world's largest mobile network operators
from the Middle East has signed a Memorandum of Understanding ('MoU') for
the use of Heliocentris' energy efficiency solutions in one of it's mobile
networks. The total revenue potential with this client is estimated to be
around EUR 20 million over the next two to three years in this mobile
network alone. In addition, this customer operates mobile networks with
similar potentials in more than 15 other regions.
Ayad Abul-Ella, CEO of Heliocentris Energy Solutions AG: 'Being selected as
the supplier for such energy efficiency solutions by one of the largest
mobile network operators worldwide is the biggest success so far in the
history of Heliocentris. We had to defeat a couple of much bigger
competitors in a tender process that went for almost one year and over
several rounds. Upgrading the first 240 sites of this mobile network is
expected to yield about EUR 6 million over the next twelve month. This is
more turnover than we achieved with all customer over the complete year
2012 in the industry segment. Therewith our chances are good that after
more than doubling our revenue last year, we can double revenues this year
again. And as we deliver this growth mainly out of the existing resources,
we get a significant step closer to our target of achieving break-even over
the course of 2014.'
The first five energy systems shall already be delivered in July of this
year. Thereafter the customer intends to upgrade seamlessly the remainder
of the around 240 sites. Prerequisite for this is the successful proof of
concept in the next two to three months. The expected total revenue from
upgrading these sites including services and licenses, is expected to be
around EUR 10 million cumulated over the next 5 years.

one of the largest mobile network operators in the region. With this in
mind it is our goal to build a basis for comparable rollouts in many
countries in the Middle East as well as North Africa and Central Asia. Our

create another positive reference with this customer for the entire
region.'
The Genset Efficiency solutions from Heliocentris allow the reduction of
operating costs of mobile base stations by up to 75%. Heliocentris was able
to provide the proof of functionality, for example with the
telecommunications company du from the United Arab Emirates. With the
Heliocentris solutions already implemented in parts of its network, du
could reduce its fuel consumption by more than 1.1 million liters andCO2
emissions by more than 2,500 tons over the course of 2012.
