Nuix and Proofpoint are both attending the 2013 Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference (WPC) from July 7-11 in Houston.
Proofpoint, Inc., (NASDAQ: PFPT), a leading security-as-a-service provider, and Nuix, a leading provider of eDiscovery, electronic investigation and information governance software, today announced a strategic relationship that help enterprises migrate valuable and legally required data to Proofpoint's cloud-based Enterprise Archive from legacy archives using Nuix's migration technology, a process that is many times faster than competing solutions.
Whereas most migration solutions extract data through a single connection to an archive's application programming interface (API), Nuix's "intelligent migration" technology creates multiple direct connections to the data in place and in its native format, eliminating the largest bottleneck that companies experience when moving large amounts of data. The court- and compliance-tested Nuix engine can extract data from EMC EmailXtender, EMC SourceOne, HP Autonomy EAS and Symantec Enterprise Vault archives, and EMC Centera compliance storage systems, even if their indexes are corrupt.
Nuix's migration process also identifies redundant, obsolete, trivial, and high-risk data in legacy systems. By leaving behind data with no business value, customers can further speed up the process of migrating to Proofpoint Enterprise Archive and minimize storage volumes and downstream eDiscovery costs.
