announced today that it has achieved Impact Level 2 (IL2) security
accreditation as part of its G-Cloud programme. GovDelivery's new status
follows only a year after the company was accepted into the UK Government's
landmark G-Cloud programme and weeks after the addition of the company's
Transactional Messaging Service (TMS) solution to G-Cloud III. Furthermore,
this qualification sets GovDelivery apart as the only IL2-accredited G-Cloud
provider currently offering digital communications management, e-alerts and
e-newsletters.
IL2 accreditation means that UK public sector organisations can be confident
that GovDelivery has met specific security requirements for handling UK citizen
data. This accreditation builds upon the ISO 27001 certification that
GovDelivery achieved earlier this year, and entailed review of the company's
defences by the UK Government's National Technical Authority for Information
Assurance, CESG.
