Since its inception in 2003 Infrassure has experienced a period of intense
growth, from just 6 employees in 2003 to its current position with over 100
personnel and annual net premium written of CHF 146.6 million. The drive for
continued growth has brought with it the recognition that Infrassure's business
organization and business processes must adapt to accommodate the needs of this
expansion.
To this end, ongoing reviews of the company's business processes and stakeholder
requirements have led to adjustments of the organization, including a re-
designation of responsibilities within the management team and the creation of
two new management functions. The full transition will be completed by the end
of September 2013.
Colm Kelly, until recently deputy to Hans Zimmermann, will take up the role of
Chief Underwriting Officer. Hans, who has been with Infrassure since 2008, will
take up a position on the Board of Directors.
Sylva de Fluiter, formerly the deputy Chief Risk Officer, will take over the
CRO role following the departure of Thomas Leddy, who has been with the company
since 2006. Tom has decided to take new career challenges elsewhere.
Phillip Wallace, deputy Chief Operating Officer, has assumed for the duration of
the transition period the responsibilities of Jakob Thyme, who previously held
the COO position and who has decided to pursue other career opportunities.
Phillip, who joined Infrassure in 2005, will also take up the newly created
position of Chief Claims Officer.
In addition, a new position of Chief Development Officer has been created to
manage the continuous improvement and development of business processes and
resources. The new position will be taken up by Steven Smith, formerly
Underwriting and Claims Director, who has been with the company since 2006.
William Bachmann and Jürg Kostenbader remain in their current positions, as CEO
and CFO respectively.
Infrassure recognizes fully and is grateful for the valuable contribution made
by Hans, Tom and Jakob in the time they have spent with Infrassure.
