San Diego's First Certified Green Plumber Expands Fleet With New Hybrid Truck
(firmenpresse) - SAN DIEGO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/16/13 -- Anderson Plumbing, Heating and Air, San Diego's First , has expanded its vehicle fleet with the addition of a new Diesel-Electric Hybrid Hino Cab-Over -- a truck that represents a giant leap for environmentally friendly, alternative fuel commercial vehicles in North America.
According to Mary Jean Anderson, president of Anderson Plumbing, Heating and Air, "Our new super green service vehicle is finally in the field. This is a breakthrough for our industry. We have been waiting a long time for a viable option for a hybrid that is designed to accommodate all of the equipment we take out to the field every day."
"Each of our service vehicles is a plumbing parts warehouse on wheels. We carry two different size water heaters, six different faucets, sinks, two toilets and a huge assortment of parts all of which weigh at least one ton. With the right vehicle, 99% of the time we can do our work upon arrival and diagnosis. This is a great time savings for our clients and separates us from our competition," added Anderson.
Hino is the leader in commercial truck diesel-electric hybrid technology. The Hino COE model was designed from the ground-up for the U.S. and arrives with the benefit of six generations of technology evolution and more than 10,000 production vehicles already on the road around the world.
In addition to the new hybrid truck, Anderson Plumbing, Heating and Air has replaced all its Comfort Advisor service vehicles with Hybrid Ford Transits. In addition to best-in-class fuel efficiency, the Transit Connect can travel up to 354 miles on a single tank of gas.

Anderson Plumbing, Heating and Air was the first San Diego plumbing company to earn certification. The training consists of a five-part accreditation in environmental and technical issues including Caring for our Water, Climate Care, Water Efficient Technology, Solar Hot Water and an Inspection Report Service.
