System Pavers Joins HomeAid in Efforts to Assist Growing Numbers of Homeless Teens
(firmenpresse) - SANTA ANA, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/17/13 -- In the U.S., more than 550,000 youth and young adults spend at least one week living on the streets, homeless. About 380,000 of these are under the age of 18. These numbers are from the National Alliance to End Homelessness which also reports that around 50,000 youth sleep on the streets for at least six months. ().
To help give homeless children in our regions a chance for a better future, System Pavers based in Santa Ana, CA, is teaming up with HomeAid (), a national organization that works with the building industry and local homeless service agencies to create temporary housing for homeless children and families. Most recently, System Pavers' team in Oregon installed a walkway and patio made of interlocking paving stones for a home in Beaverton operated by Boys and Girls Aid, an organization that provides specialized care and services for children, teens and young adults moving out of homelessness.
