Diakonia Group Goes Live With abas-ERP

(firmenpresse) - STERLING, VA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/17/13 -- Diakonia Group (Formerly DCS) is an engineer to order and design manufacturing company that produces custom conveyer systems for companies such as FEDEX, UPS, and Macy's.

With sales orders thousands of lines long, abas-ERP integrates with a third-party configurator to import orders, saving time and avoiding errors. This also automatically creates parts within the system that did not exist previously, if necessary. The custom parts use a pre-determined formula to calculate and record cost.

One of the main requirements from Diakonia Group was to be able to ship and invoice by truck load. FABSHIP allows them to do that. Additionally, it allows them to handle the work order release, completion, sales packing slip and truck load invoice with a bill of lading.

Dustin DeuPree, of abas-USA, said of the Diakonia Group project, "It was one of the most enjoyable and challenging projects I've worked on. There are a lot of customizations in sales and production. They have motors as part of the conveyor system that could have thousands of different configurations. We obviously could not have a part for each configuration. We used their configurator to import the BOM of the custom motor to the sales order production list."
