VoiceBase Partners With Evernote and FreeConferenceCall.com; Delivers Click and Play Tagged Keywords in Minutes That Are Perfect for Voice Search and Discovery

(firmenpresse) - SAN FRANCISCO, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/23/13 -- Today, launches its cloud-based voice-indexing technology that includes , VoiceBase's fast and accurate voice analytics technology.

"For the last 30 years or so, email, search engines and the internet have made text far more consumable than ever before," said VoiceBase CEO Walter Bachtiger. "VoiceBase extends valuable capabilities familiar to text such as a record of the discussion, sharing, storage, access and search -- to voice."

"What VoiceBase does is make voice content compatible with our digital life style. In real time, we empower businesses to analyze what human beings say, make it searchable, and then deliver it to their users," he continued.

VoiceBase lets a user record an interview on their Smartphone, upload a file, or push a button during a FreeConferenceCall.com meeting -- instantly activating their proprietary voice analytics engine.

In seconds, the user receives an email with automatically generated click and play keyword links that are organized by topic. Click on a link, and in the browser the user will see time synchronized color-coded keyword markers across the timeline of the event.

Click on the markers, and the user will go to the exact spot in the recording where that word appears. The file is searchable and shareable, and the keywords linking into the original recording can be saved to their Evernote account.

What does all this mean? If a user hosting a webinar, it means they can now share a fully searchable recording with extracted keywords to facilitate the discovery of the content by others that may or may not have attended. These keywords can be edited prior to sharing, allowing the host to re-emphasize specific messages.

If a user is doing podcasts, their fans can now find what the podcaster is saying when they do Google searches. If a user is a governmental agency, they can now put their meetings online, so their stakeholders can find the exact moments in the meeting where what they were interested in was discussed.

And if the user is a reporter, they get a transcript of the audio file, saving the strain of transcribing it themselves. And best of all, the user can share all of this -- the recording, the keywords, and the transcript -- with anyone, anywhere, almost instantaneously.

"VoiceBase has perfect timing with this partnership with FreeConferenceCall.com," said Elliot Gold, teleconferencing industry analyst and president of TeleSpan. "I've long thought that converting speech into text is the next logical step for conference calling, and predicted that within the next three years, what VoiceBase has done will become the most popular feature of conference calls."

"Giving users the power to index and search what was said, and to see an entire transcript within minutes of a call ending is a tremendous value-add."

The VoiceBase cloud-based voice analytics engine is faster and more accurate than anything else on the market. In early May, VoiceBase was recognized as a Gartner "Cool Vendor," in the Unified Communications 2013(1) category -- a prestigious acknowledgment for small companies whose products are "innovative, impactful and intriguing."

This functionality has spurred industry-leading companies like FreeConferenceCall.com to integrate VoiceBase into their products, extending the functionality of AutoNotes to serve their customers. Conference call organizers can give their virtual attendees audio files with text keywords only minutes after a call is ended -- or students can build true multimedia study aids by combining learning materials with transcripts of lectures and seminars.

VoiceBase requires that the user opts into the service and that the user's privacy is always maintained. The service is only launched when the user has clicked to enable AutoNotes.

allows users to instantly search and listen to valuable spoken information in the timeline of recordings. Users can manually upload audio or video, use the VoiceBase mobile app, a web browser, or use the VoiceBase API for automated uploads. Recordings are stored in the cloud for safe and secure anywhere access. Once a file has been fully indexed and transcribed, it is ready to be searched and shared. An email notification that contains click and play keyword links into the original recording is sent minutes after an upload. VoiceBase supports all common file formats and allows the click and play keyword links to be exported to Evernote and other industry-leading digital destinations.
