Husky Energy Donates to Calgary Food Bank Flood Relief
(firmenpresse) - CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/23/13 -- Husky Energy has donated $30,000 to the Calgary Food Bank to assist in its flood relief efforts.
Food Bank CEO James McAra pointed out that many families in Calgary and Southern Alberta are returning home to empty cupboards and the need for food and funds is critical.
"When immediate needs for food are taken care of, those affected by flooding can focus on other pressing tasks," said McAra.
This donation is in addition to the more than $140,000 raised by Husky and its employees for the Food Bank earlier this year, and is part of the Company's $1 million commitment to assist community partners in their flood relief efforts.
