Smallest Inline Pressure Sensor

(PresseBox) - In many industries the trend to miniaturization of electronic devices and components continues unabated, leading to space and resource savings. This trend does not stop even before the sensor technology, because these are important components for the automation and provide the necessary process safety. The flowplus with its small size is an excellent example of this trend. The engineers of ViscoTec Pumpen- u. Dosiertechnik GmbH had the task to integrate the signal amplifier into the small complex sensor. For users this miniature sensor simplifies the integration into existing compact systems and also reduces the inertial masses in movable systems, such as dynamic robots or pick and place solutions. The flowplus also provides a standard 0,1 - 10 V DC signal, which is easy to take and process about any conventional PLC. Even the operating voltage range of 12 - 30 V DC is a common value for piezoresistive pressure sensors. The measured pressure range is up to 16 bar. Due to the microchip technology inside the pressure sensor a very high accuracy and reliability is given. The flowplus is pre-calibrated and therefore ready to use without much effort and time consuming recalibrate.
