Korean Government Selects RadTek to Provide X-Ray Technology to Korean Customs Service (KRS) at Ports
With Increased Demand for Customs Inspections When Shipping to US, Korean Government Steps Up Installation of Equipment With RadTek as Partner
(firmenpresse) - LOUISVILLE, KY -- (Marketwired) -- 07/25/13 -- RadTek, Inc. (RadTek) (OTCQB: RDTK), a leader in X-ray imaging hardware and software clears final steps and begins fulfilling contract with the Korean Customs Service (KCS), the Korean government's official customs service to supply various X-ray imaging hardware materials and overall engineering work for radiation systems at seaports to help comply with Free Trading Agreements (FTA) between the U.S.A. and South Korea. With new regulations almost all containers shipped to the U.S. from South Korea will require such screening.

The contract was secured in December of 2012 with initial investment of $2 million and installation has begun in recent weeks with expected completion by the end of this year. The project will include both hardware and software related to X-ray imaging, hardware materials and overall engineering design for radiation safety, X-ray imaging systems, radiation monitoring systems and mobile transportable systems for Container Inspection Systems at seaports. The Korean government plan to install and operate over 30 sets of Container Inspection Systems with a value of $300,000,000 (three hundred million dollars) by 2030. With RadTek's designs and equipment being set as the standard for these initial projects the company hopes to be a key partner with their equipment as the standard in future installations with the Korean government and other partners in the customs service.
