Swinerton Named One of the 2013 Best Places to Work in Orange County
(firmenpresse) - IRVINE, CA -- (Marketwired) -- 07/25/13 -- was recently recognized as one of the 2013 "Best Places to Work in Orange County." The county-wide awards program, created in 2009, is a project of the Orange County Business Journal and Best Companies Group. The program is designed to honor the best workplaces in Orange County, which benefit the county's economy, workforce, and businesses.
Swinerton's Orange County office, one of a dozen in the company's national network, exhibits a passion for building a positive workplace. The office recognizes high-performing employees and hosts monthly morale-boosting events, such as bowling, softball games, barbeques, and game day outings to cheer on the Los Angeles Angels baseball team. Health and wellness is also a priority, and Swinerton inspires employees to stay active by sponsoring events like the Camp Pendleton World Famous Mud Run, the Ragnar Relay, and other races. Employees and their families have ample opportunity to socialize at several annual events, including a beach barbeque day and a group ski trip to Mammoth Mountain.
Companies from across the county entered the two-part process to earn the distinction of one of the "Best Places to Work." The first part, worth approximately 25% of the total evaluation, consisted of evaluating each company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The second component consisted of a survey to measure the employee experience and accounted for approximately 75% of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies and the final ranking. Swinerton will be recognized via a special section of the Orange County Business Journal's July 29 issue.
